We’re incredibly lucky to call the stunning coastline of the Moray Firth home and we’re committed to working with local & environmentally conscious organisations that can make a small but meaningful impacts on our environmental footprint.
Whilst some of our actions may seem small, these tangible actions mean we’re taking action now.
We encourage all of our guests to consider their impact upon our environment.
All of our cleaning, dishes and linen is washed in house using smol products.
Smol products have been developed using less chemicals than traditional cleaning products, are distributed in 100% plastic free packaging and have been independently assessed in their commitment to having 35% reduction in carbon through their production and delivery compared to the big brands.
Compared to incandescent bulbs, they are a massive 80% more efficient, and they turn 95% of their energy into light, whereas older lighting would produce a lot of heat.
We’re partnered with Octopus Energy to supply green electricity to the apartment.
“We want to make renewable energy the easiest choice for everyone – so all our electricity tariffs are 100% green, often for less than other suppliers’ non-green tariffs.
We work out how much power our customers are taking out of the grid annually (a mix of power sources, from wind to fossil fuels) and ensure an equal amount of renewable energy is added into the system in its place over the year. Not only does this make your electricity effectively net zero – it gradually helps make the energy system greener for everyone!”
